Finalists named for Small Business Award

The Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce announced the finalists for the 2013 Jerry Barboe Small Business Person of the Year Award, the winner of which will be named in a ceremony on Thursday.

The finalists are:

Dotti Bala of Copy Central
Dee Barnes of Evans Tool and Die
Scott Hartsell of Imijit.net Technology Solutions

They were chosen by the selection committee based on applications submitted. The six nominees were:

Stacy Brundage, Literacy Link Learning Center
Scott Hartsell, Imijit.net Technology Solutions
Ray Ramos, Raymond Engineering
Gregg Starr, The UPS Store on Ga. Highway 138 and 212

The winner of this year's award will be named at the Chamber's Business After Hours event where all nominees will be recognized and the three finalists highlighted. Rockdale County Superior Court Judge David Irwin will be the emcee for the evening.

The ceremony will be held Thursday, March 21, 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at Cameron Hall, 1035 Green Street, Conyers. To register for the event, go to www.conyers-rockdale.com or call 770-483-7049.

This is the 25th annual presentation of the award, which as named for the owner of Citizens Office Supply, Jerry Barboe, who passed away in 1987.
