ATLANTA (AP) — A Fulton County jail inmate who authorities say walked away from a work detail late last week has been caught.

The sheriff's office says 47-year-old Rodney Askew was caught around 7:15 Sunday evening in Atlanta.

Investigators say they chased Askew after he was spotted in a stolen vehicle. They say he fled from the vehicle on foot when he realized he was being followed. Deputies chased him through a wooded area and took him into custody.
