A man who struck a culvert while driving on Milstead Road and rolled into a telephone pole, ejecting the passenger, in February was arrested on DUI charges and turned himself in on Sunday.
The blood test results for Larry Sloan recently came back to the Rockdale County Sheriff's office from the single-car incident which occurred on Feb. 26 at around 11 p.m.
The 30-year old Conyers resident was driving south on Milstead Rd with a 25-year old passenger, his brother, when the vehicle ran off the road at 101 Milstead Rd. Travelling on the shoulder, the car hit the culvert at 1309 Milstead Rd and vaulted in the air.
According to reports, "the vehicle landed on its front left tire, rotating clockwise." The report went on to say the vehicle rolled, struck a guide wire and a telephone pole.
At that point the passenger was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and was found 20 yards away from the car when EMT personnel were looking at Sloan buckled into the driver's side.
