Creepy crawly weekend
insectival-IMG 6626

I’m not a bug person. I don’t like roaches or anything with stingers, and I have a true issue with spiders that is nearly debilitating. Basically, anything that looks like it wants to bite or sting me, I’m not down with. But lots of people aren’t bothered by things like that. Some people actually dig it. And for those odd people, the State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens is THE place to be this weekend. Ever dreamed of watching a race between hissing cockroaches (just typing that gives me the heebie jeebies) and beetles, an insect café (I shudder to think what that might be), live creepy crawly insects and puppet shows are on the menu for the annual Insectival! Family Day. Just don’t expect to see me anywhere near there this weekend.

Price: $5 per person; $20 per family.
