The Pilot Club of Conyers celebrated the annual Share Pilot Program during its Thursday night meeting at Conyers Presbyterian where donations were given to local groups and nonprofits supporting work in brain-related injuries and disorders.
The funds are raised through the sales of pecans and the Pilot Club’s spring fashion show.
The groups and causes supported were Light House Village, which houses the Phoenix Pass transitional housing for women and children and Haven House respite home for the developmentally disabled; Rockdale Cares, which provides programs for the developmentally disabled; Rockdale County Special Olympics; Newton/Rockdale Brain Injury Support Group; Rockdale County Senior Services Meals on Wheels; Servants of the Lord Senior Services Meals on Wheels; Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office Project Lifesaver for finding the elderly and youth with brain related disorders who have wandered away from home with a radio-chip wrist device; Georgia Artists with Disabilities; and the Rockdale Autism Support Group.
