As part of its ongoing series of events leading up to the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the historic Bald Rock Baptist Church, one of the first churches in the county, the church held a community health fair on Saturday, May 21, at 2284 Old Covington Road with representatives and information from the American Cancer Society, Emory Eastside, Concentra Medical Center and the CDC.

(Pictured) Bald Rock Baptist First Lady and Minister Valerie Shipp, right, has her blood pressure taken by Nurse Practitioner Angela Bright of Concentra Medical Center on West Avenue. Bright also screened participants for diabetes and handed out information from the CDC.
