The Clothes Closet nonprofit celebrated its re-opening at a new location at 1018 Green Street with a ribbon cutting and showing from supporters.

Visitors toured the newly refurbished space, which will be operated by Rockdale Emergency Relief with volunteer and program support from Growing Discoveries Ministries.

The Clothes Closet will offer clothes and household items for families in need.

Clothing donations, including children’s clothing, are needed immediately, and RER will be the donation drop-off site for clothing. RER is located at 350 Tall Oaks Drive, Conyers, and donations can be accepted Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.  For opportunities to donate furniture and household commodities, contact Tracy Lewis with Growing Discovery Ministries at 770-927-5197.

All individuals and families should be referred to RER for vouchers for the Clothes Closet program when the Clothes Closet opens in September.

For opportunities to volunteer or to complete community service activities at the Clothes Closet, contact Tracy Lewis at 770-927-5197. In addition visit RER’s website at www.rockdalecountyemergencyrelief.org for more information.
