Mother's day is coming: Jule-Lynne Macie, Rockdale Cooperative Extension coordinator, puts a ribbon on a Yoshino cherry tree recently potted for a Mother’s Day gift. The trees were sold at the Cherry Blossom Festival but due to poor weather there are still plenty of trees left for sale. They are available for $15 each.
The trees come bare root (pot does not come with them), are 4-6 feet tall, healthy and are putting out new roots, and currently healed in boxes at the Extension Office on Parker Road. If potted up with a beautiful ribbon, they make a great Mother’s Day gift of addition to your landscape.
Proceeds go to the new Rockdale County Education Garden. For more information, call 770-278-7373.
