Rockdale County Public Schools celebrated National School Breakfast Week, held March 3-7 with the theme “Take Time for Breakfast.”

RCPS serves approximately 7,000 breakfasts each day. French toast sticks and sausage, served Tuesdays, continue to be the most popular menu item.

“Students really enjoy a hot breakfast,” said RCPS Food Services Director Peggy Lawrence.  “This year, we are providing some version of breakfast in the classroom at four schools.

"School breakfast plays a vital role in the academic success of our students. A hungry child cannot learn...  Many of our busy families also enjoy the convenience of school breakfast.”
