Casting call for extras in Hugh Jackman thriller

The call is out for extras for the Hugh Jackman thriller "Prisoners," which will be shooting in Conyers in early 2013.

The film, directed by Dennis Villeneuve and featuring an impressive cast - Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Viola Davis, Melissa Leo, Paul Dano, is the story of a small town carpenter (Jackman) who takes the law into his own hands and kidnaps his daughter's kidnapper. Despite its' name, the film is not a prison movie. 

The Warner Brothers distributed film is slated to shoot mostly in Conyers from Jan. 16 - March 26. 

The open casting call will be on Sunday, Dec. 9, noon to 6 p.m. at the Rockdale Career Academy, 1064 Culpepper Drive, Conyers.

The casting agency is looking for men and women of all ethnicities, ages 18 and over, both with and without experience being an extra.

Specifically, the movie is lookng for middle class men and women with suburban and rural community appearances, police and law enforcement-looking men and women for cops, detectives and precinct staff, and hospital or Emergency Room staff types for nurses, doctors, orderies, and techncians. 

Hopefuls are asked to come dress as one of the types. Uniforms and scrubs, as well as real experience in a precinct or hospital, is a plus but not mandetory. A photo ID is required, and extras must have legal residency. Actors may also bring acting resumes.
