Dear Editor: As a concerned citizen/victim I feel compelled to notify others about a recent incident that took place at the Highlands Golf course in Rockdale County.
I was at the golf course playing golf and when the round was over I came back to my vehicle to find that it had been broken into and everything valuable was missing. The low-life thieves drilled the door lock to gain access amazingly with the steady flow of people through the parking lot.
I have since found out that this has been happening at this place of business. Although I wish the business no harm, I am very disappointed in their lack of responsibility in alerting their customers to this fact. In other words if I had been told of the recent robberies I could of at least had the chance to take my valuables with me onto the golf course.
(Editor’s note: The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office reported three entering auto incidents this year at the Highlands Golf Course; one in March, one in May and one in June.)
