Bringing non-profits together

United Way in Rockdale and the Rockdale Coalition for Children and Families are inviting all non-profit agencies to join the Community Resource Network, a collaborative that provides a network for service coordination by sharing information and resources to better serve the community.

The next monthly CRN meeting is slated for noon on Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at 1400 Parker Road.

United Way in Rockdale Area Director Claire Cline said the meeting should be beneficial for any group or agency providing non-profit services for people who live in Rockdale County.

"The Community Resources Network provides an opportunity for us to come together to identify community resources and needs, share information of mutual interest and support each other as service providers," said Cline. "This collaborative helps us become more effective and efficient in meeting the needs of those we serve."

January's meeting will feature a guest speaker on successful grant writing. A light lunch will be provided, so those planning to attend should contact the United Way in Rockdale office at (678) 673-2890 or via e-mail: Rockdale@unitedwayatlanta.org.
