Want to taste some of the best local brews and help a great cause? Of course you do, silly. So take your fabulous self down to The Shriner’s Temple this weekend for the annual Ponce de Leon Beer Fest. You’ll have to hang out with some hipsters, sure, but that’s a chance you take when you venture downtown. They’ll be the ones in their grandmother’s cardigans with lots of facial hair, or dresses with birds on them. If you can learn to love or live with the hipsters, then you have a chance to try a ton of tasty local beers with a portion of the proceeds going to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. Try not to focus on how odd it is that boozing it up will help the children – just roll with it and have a good time.
