Jordan Baker was named youth of the month at the Barkdsale Boys and Girls Club for March. The 16-year-old Rockdale County High School junior maintains a GPA of 3.5, wants to study meteorology, and hopes to attend Louisiana State University. Baker, a member of the Barksdale club since he was in the fourth grade, is the Vice President of the Keystone Club, a service-based club within the Barksdale Boys and Girls Club. He has volunteered at the BGC working with younger children, at his church, Hillcrest Church of Christ, at a daycare center over the summer, and at the American Legion. The Barksdale club’s youth of the year will be chosen out of the youths of the month.
