Honey Creek Elementary School participates in Jump Rope for Heart every year and has been a top fundraising school for JRFH for the past six years. As an incentive to raise money, the Physical Education teacher Mrs. Van Heest hosts a party for students that collect at least $25 in sponsorships for the time they jump rope. Other fundraising activities include donating money in exchange for having your hair painted red and purchasing a foot of duct tape for $1. The duct tape was used to tape Instructional Technology and Data Specialist Mr. Cheek to the gym wall.
