Conyers residents will have a chance to see award winning art and poetry at the Nancy Guinn Library starting Tuesday and running through July 11.
The River of Words, a traveling art and poetry exhibit, will be in town displaying winning entries in the 15th annual international contest from over 12,000 entries around the world.
Nine students from Georgia were selected as national finalists among the 1,691 entered from the state, including one of eight grand prize winners.
The River of Words is a non-profit organization supported by the Department of Natural Resources, Watershed Protection Branch Outreach, which conducts the annual contest in conjunction with the Library of Congress Center for the Book.
The River of the Words was founded by U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Hass and writer Pamela Michael.
Winning work will also be displayed on the Georgia Project WET website, GAProjectWET.org.
