Armed robber arrested after chase

An armed robbery suspect was caught after trying to escape on foot and hide in the bushes

Curtis Perry Jordan, 22, reportedly approached a pedestrian about 11:25 a.m. Thursday on Irwin Bridge Road, pulled out a gun and robbed him of his belongings, including cash.

The victim, concerned with his safety, fled, reported the incident to police and pointed out the Jordan to police.

The suspect then fled into a neighborhood in the Conyers Housing Authority near Irwin Bridge Road.

Conyers police set up a perimeter and pursued the suspect on foot. Jordan was reportedly found attempting to hide in the bushes and tried to escape again but eventually gave up and was placed under arrest.

Investigators are still reviewing other robbery cases, and any connection between is unknown at this time.
