County Chief of Staff Gerald Sanders reads a plaque of appreciation and proclaimation for Jule-Lynne Macie

Friends, co-workers, county leaders, volunteers and members of the Rockdale Extension Office family gathered March 5 at 1400 Parker  Road in a reception to honor former Rockdale County Extension Agent Jule-Lynne Macie, who had served 26 years in the position and was recently promoted in the UGA Extension Service as agriculture program development coordinator for the Northwest District. Plaques of appreciation and proclaimation were presented to Macie by the Master Gardener Extension Volunteers, Rockdale 4-H, and Rockdale County. Rockdale 4-H created a “Leave One Take One” book project named in her honor.  Although she’ll still be living in Conyers, her work will take her over a 40-county area.
