I’m a big fan of the Imagine It! Children’s Museum, so any time they have a special exhibit I’m all over it. If you have kids that are between 4-10-years-old, this Weebles Around the World exhibit is something you want to check out. It’s exactly what it sounds like. You and your kid plan your “trip” on a rad interactive map, and then you visit all 50 states, learning about them with hands-on activities. How many kids can say they hit a home run at Fenway Park, or rode a mule into the Grand Canyon? And that’s just the tip of the ice burg on all the awesome make-believe your kid can experience (and you through them, which is awesome) at this exhibit. Snorkeling in Hawaii? Check! Driving a riverboat down the Mississippi? Check, check! You definitely need to check, check, check (there had to be three, cut me some slack) this exhibit out. Treat the kids – and yourself, if you’re so inclined, to The Varsity while you’re downtown and make a day of it. After all, visiting 50 states is bound to make you hungry for some greasy onion rings and a frosted orange.
