Eastridge Community Church will break ground on a new building at 14200 Highway 36 for its Jackson Lake Campus on June 12 at 5 p.m. The campus currently meets at Alcovy High School on Sunday mornings at 10:45.

The pastors and staff of Eastridge will be in attendance, along with Elders Sammy Ozburn, Jason Smith, Kyle Anderson, and Dalton Knox.

“We are excited about building a permanent structure for our campus,” said Gary Thompson, Jackson Lake Campus Pastor. “Having a presence in this part of the county will help us reach people in the area more effectively.”

“Our vision is to create churches that provide hope and life change through Jesus in every corner of the county, and every corner of every county where God calls us,” said Scott Moore, Lead Pastor of Eastridge. “Our Jackson Lake Campus will fill that vision for the south part of Newton County, and we can’t wait for them to have a 24/7 presence in the area.”

Eastridge Community Church began in 1989 and moved to its current location at 863 Highway 142 in Covington in 1999. The Jackson Lake Campus kicked off at Alcovy High School in 2013.
