Choral Concert at First Presbyterian Church

The First Presbyterian Church in Covington will be hosting an afternoon of music this Sunday, starting at 2:30 p.m. 

The combined choirs of Conyers Presbyterian Church, Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Covington and First Presbyterian Church in Covington will be singing a performance of ‘Requiem’ by Gabriel Fauré and other anthems including “Toccata on For All the Saints,” and Organ Duet by David Cherwien

“Gabriel Faure's 'Requiem' expresses the Christian faith in eternal life, for ourselves and for those

who have gone before us,” Joanne Brown, Director of Music at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd said.

Brown is one of the three directors, which also include Alan Bunn, Director of Music at First Presbyterian Church and Martha Clay, Director of Music at Conyers Presbyterian Church

They and the choirs will also be joined by several fine instrumentalists, including David Hauser on oboe, Dania Lane on harp, Alice Walker and Becky Ramsey on organ and a string ensemble.
