Speaking of good family happenings on the Covington Square, we might suggest you stop the Southern Heartland Art Gallery, located at 1132 Monticello St. on the square.

Their annual fall art show, featuring local artists and artists throughout the state of Georgia, will open on Sept. 4.

The artists will be judged in different categories.

You might want to bring the whole family to view the excellent talent of these artists.

The show on the 4th is free, and the exhibits will be on display until Sept. 28.
