This time last year we were concerned that we might lose our local car dealerships because of the recession.

This would have been a major economic blow to Covington and Newton County.

Because of good management and the support of the local community, all three major dealerships are still going strong. This week we were more than pleased to see that Ginn Motors and Covington Ford were starting to advertise their 2010 cars.

The community support that the Ginn family since 1922 and the Crowe family since 1941 have provided our community cannot be counted in dollars alone.
