We are pleased to see that another movie company has decided to use Covington as a major spot for filming.

The movie "Footloose" is in town this week, specifically using our picturesque courthouse as its centerpiece.

Being here has caused some disruption of traffic and has inconvenienced a few people we are sure.

That inconvenience will be over soon enough but the money left behind by the production company will be positively felt for months to come.

We are fortunate that Covington, Newton County, is becoming the Hollywood of the South, and we encourage even more production companies to come enjoy our hospitality.
