There is always a need for blood donors during the holiday season, and that need always increases.
Many organizations at this time of year help the American Red Cross by sponsoring blood drives.
Rarely does a single person attempt such an undertaking and never does a young teenager.
Ilah Wiemann has taken this project on with great gusto and determination.

Ilah, who is a seventh grader at the Montessori School of Covington, has organized a blood drive to be held Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the school which is located at 4108 Summers Street in the Clark's Grove subdivision in Covington.

Miss Wiemann has acquired several gift certificates for raffle and all Georgians who give blood before the end of the year are entered to win a gas cards worth $1,000 dollars each.

Giving blood is easy; the most pain you might feel is a little prick. You can even rest while you are giving, and after you can enjoy some free snacks.
