NHS MCJROTC collects toys
Placeholder Image
The Newton High School Marine Corps JROTC are revving up for Christmas as they take on the task of being Santa's helpers in the Newton County area.

Again this year cadets will be collecting for the Toys for Tots drive in support of the nationwide Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
Cadets will be standing in front of the Big Lots store in the Newton Plaza shopping center as well as Wal-Mart on Industrial Boulevard today and next week.

You can help the young men and women of the NHS MCJROTC by placing a poster in your window, hosting a collection box or and donating toys or gift certificates.

The goal this year is to see that the toys collected stay in Newton County for our local children in need.

All toys must be new and unwrapped.

This is a chance for you to give a gift so that a neighbor who is having a rough year can enjoy the spirit of Christmas with their family. The Covington News is a drop-off location.
