One of the highlights of every spring in Covington is to hear the sound of music on the square at noon every Thursday in May.

The series, which features a variety of musical styles, provides a great end of the week pick-me-up for those who can attend.

The first concert on Thursday will feature the Eastside Symphonic Band and the All-County Honor Band.
Among their selections will be a medley from “Les Miserables” and the most important song of all, “Danny Boy.”

So on Thursdays, bring your lawn chairs, pack your lunch or stop by one of the restaurants on the square to buy your lunch, and enjoy a very pleasant lunch experience.

The lunch-time concerts are brought to you by Newton County Arts Association and the Main Street program.
