Honor Flight
Placeholder Image

Several residents of Newton County and Rockdale County recently flew to Washington D.C. as part of the Honor Flight Conyers program.

The program flies World War II veterans to Washington to tour the war memorials, including the World War II memorial. The best part is that these veterans travel for free - it's all paid for through donations.

You can make a donation of your own or sign up as a volunteer by visiting www.honorflightconyers.com.
Our veterans should be cherished for the service they gave our country, especially our World War II vets. Each year, there are fewer and fewer of them left alive and it won't be long before they're only a memory to the world they helped save.
