Congratulations go to the three teachers who are finalists for 2014 Teacher of the Year in the Newton County School System.

Marie Hargrove, a third-grade teacher at Heard-Mixon Elementary, Dolores Williams, from the Newton College and Career Academy, and Ashley Richard, from Eastside High School, all have impeccable credentials.

Any student who has been in their classrooms has been blessed.

All three represent the quality of the teachers we have here in the Newton County School System. Because of our teachers’ efforts, Newton County schools are steadily moving toward excellence.

Excellence in education is, and will be, the future impetus of positive economic growth in Newton County.
