The appointment of the Airport Terminal Committee by city council recently has already begun to pay off.

The blue ribbon committee composed of a panel of community leaders and friends of the airport in a called meeting last week examined original drawings of the proposed terminal and began to whittle the plans into a working blueprint that will be beneficial to the community for a long time to come.

We encourage this type of wise community involvement in the decision process.

As we plan and develop projects for the future growth of Covington and Newton County, we hope to see more of these focus groups put into action.
