We talked with Wendell Crowe, owner of Covington Ford, this week and are glad we did. A story that Walgreens is interested in purchasing property owned by Crowe family has been circulating around town for a few weeks.
To date, nothing has been finalized. In the meantime, some long-time county residents have been speculating that Covington Ford is either going to move or close. According to Mr. Crowe, the rumor of Covington Ford closing is false, and if the Walgreens story becomes a reality, then Covington Ford would look to relocate in the area.
We are glad to hear these reassuring words from Mr. Crowe; it is imperative to our town's future that Covington Ford remains a pillar of our business community.
