It's time to start making plans for the annual Rotary-Kiwanis Legislative Prayer Breakfast, which will be held at 7 a.m., Friday, Jan. 11, at Turner Lake Complex.

The free event is open to the community and is usually attended by several local legislators and community officials.

During the last two years, the prayer breakfast has featured two fantastic speakers, and the trend will be continued this year as the Honorable Steve C. Jones, U.S. District Judge of Georgia's Northern District, will lead the event.

Judge Jones has had a remarkable career of success, which you can read more about on today's front page.

This year's event will start at 7:30 a.m., but coffee and a light breakfast will be served at 7 a.m. So come and mingle with your friends and local elected officials.
