William (Billy) Webb, Sr., of Covington, died July 20, 2009, at the age of 72. Mr. Webb retired from Madison Industries, in Conyers, after 34 years of service; and then served as a volunteer firefighter for Rocky Plains Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting, and dearly loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mr. Webb was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Bertha Mae George Webb; and brother, Henry Webb. Survivors include his wife, Ann Webb; daughter, Cindy Grimes of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Lewis and Tonya Webb of Columbia, IL, son and fiancé, Robby Webb and Debbie Meadows of Covington, step-sons and step-daughter-in-law, Gerald and Stephanie Fleming of Loganville, Kenneth Fleming of Covington, Michael Fleming and fiancé, Brandie Blokzyl of Griffin; 8 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Frances Webb, Gene and Lottie Webb, Earnest Webb, Lawrence and Linda Webb, all of Stockbridge; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Webb will be held Thursday, July 23, 2009, 1 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Rd., with Rev. J. Clifton Brown officiating and interment following in Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, July 22, from 6-9 PM.
