Virginia Smith Milner of Jackson, came to rest June 18, 2010, at the age of 84. Mrs. Milner and her husband, Charles, owned and operated Lakeside Restaurant in Lithonia, for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Mrs. Milner loved baking cakes and pies for everyone to enjoy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Clyde (Hutchens) Smith. Survivors include her husband, Charles D. Milner of Jackson; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Patricia Milner of White Plains, Melvin and Vicky Milner of Jackson; sisters, Myrtice Hinkle, Barbara Cleveland, both of Covington; grandchildren, Angela Bryan, Troy Milner, Scott Milner, Randy Milner; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter. Funeral Services for Mrs. Milner will be held Monday, June 21, 2010, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Richard Culpepper officiating, and interment following in Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, June 20, from 5-8 PM.
