Una Mae Treadwell Standard Hollis

Una Mae Treadwell Standard Hollis of Covington, Ga., passed away Monday, October 21, 2013, at Riverside Health Center. She was 94.

She was a lifelong member of Salem United Methodist Church, a member of the Salem Senior Club, and a member of the Otis Nixon Sunday School class at Salem United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Golden Eagle Club. She was retired from Bibb Manufacturing as well as Hercules.

She loved to send greeting cards to friends and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Standard, in 1977; her second husband, Henry H. Hollis, in 2003; her parents; sisters, Mildred Christian and Frances Crowell; and brothers, Irman Treadwell and James Treadwell.

Mrs. Hollis is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Steve Doyle of Covington and Sara Ann and Randall Meadows of Covington; grandchildren, Sheila Preston, Joni Stanford, Greg Meadows, Michelle Carter and Darren Meadows; stepdaughter, Sandra Hollis; stepgranddaughters, Tamera Harrison and Rhonda Self; stepgrandsons, Joshua Owens and Scott Hollis; five stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Salem United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joe Peabody,
Rev. Greg Meadows, Dr. Phil DeMore and Rev. Gene Hammond officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Wheeler Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salem United Methodist Fund.
