Mr. Tilmon Lewis Moss age 88 of Oxford died Sunday, April 25, 2010. He was born in Copper Hill, Tennessee on October 15, 1921 to the late Sylvester and Hattie (Powell) Moss. He moved to Oxford from Atlanta 38 years ago. He was of the Baptist faith, and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He really enjoyed fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife: Annie C. Moss, son: Tilmon Moss, Jr., granddaughter: Brandie N. Ellis. Mr. Moss is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Frank and Judy Moss of Houston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law: Freddie and Arthur”JR.” Ellis of Oxford; daughter: Elaine Allee of Oxford; grandchildren: Rocky Moss, Star Carnes, Arthur F. Ellis III., Bridget I. Jones, Brittany Morgan, Eddie Moss, Steven Allee; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. A memorial service for Mr. Moss will be Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Oxford City Cemetery. Bishop Jim Shipp will be officiating the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Abbey Hospice or to the family to help with the funeral expenses.
