Stephen Andrew Chambers, 59, of Covington, passed away September 27, 2015. Andy was a faithful member of Canaan Baptist Church. In 58 years, he never once missed a Sunday School class. While in high school, Andy began working for The Covington News, and it was there that he met his wife, Cathy. Following his employment with the newspaper, he worked for Naylor for 30 years, before his most recent service at Marshall’s Distribution Center. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and working with the cows and horses at his farm. It was never a surprise to find him out on one of his tractors. Additionally, Andy liked watching NASCAR and attending drag races. He was a faithful husband and hardworking father who always provided for his family. Andy cherished the time he spent with his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Lanier Chambers; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Candler and Stella “Papa and Granny” Mote.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 33 years, Cathy Mote Chambers; daughters and sons-in-law, Christy and Andy Heath, Amy and Jimmy Easterlin; son, Drew Chambers; grandchildren, Trey Forrister, Victoria Torbush, Levi Easterlin; mother, Martha Chambers; sister, Gail Smith and her husband, Dennis; brother, Gary Chambers; sister-in-law, Mae Terry and her husband, Al; brother-in-law, J.T. and his wife, Dale; as well as several nieces and nephews.
