Rubena Maddox Hall Swinks, 86, of Scottdale, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away July 21. Rubena retired from DeKalb General Hospital in 1986 where she worked as a supervisor over the Outpatient Control Desk. She was preceded in death by her son George F. Hall and her mother, father, brothers and sisters.


Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Alton R. and Deborah Hall; daughters and sons-in-law Nancy and Ken Wallace, Rubena Lee and Robert Morris, Tammy S. and Phillip Quick; daughter-in-law Ingrid Budrekas; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.


A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 24, at 11 a.m. at Valley Brook Baptist Church in Decatur. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association in memory of Rubena Maddox Hall Swinks.
