Roy H. Gazaway Jr. of Covington, GA passed away Wednesday April 18, 2012 at his residence. He was born on May 18, 1930 in Eatonton, GA to Roy H. and Ruth Hinesdale Gazaway Sr. Mr. Gazaway served in the US Army during the Korean War. Upon discharge he was employed with Henson Furniture Company in Covington. He later entered the insurance business as an insurance agent, retiring after more than 28 years. Mr. Gazaway is a member of High Point Baptist Church
Mr. Gazaway is survived by wife Dorothy Gazaway of Covington, GA; sons and daughters-in-law Andy and Bonnie Gazaway of Roswell, GA, Marty and Joy Gazaway of Virginia Beach,VA; sister and brother-in-law Kay and Bobby Peters
of Clayton, GA;sisters-in-law Margie and J.L. Moody, Lynda Middlebrooks; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Roy Hopson and Ruth Hinesdale Gazaway Sr., one sister and one brother.
Services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday April 21, 2012 at High Point Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Martin and Rev. David Marshall officiating. Interment will be at Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 20, 2012 from 6:00-8:00PM.
