Rita Montez Hunt of Covington, GA died Thursday November 24, 2011 at Abbey Hospice.  She was born on September 22, 1945 in Covington, GA to Thomas Richard and Dorothy Louise Palmer Jones.She loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

Mrs. Hunt is survived by sons and daughters in law John Jr. and Angela Hunt of Covington GA, Timothy and Anna Hunt of Covington GA, Marshall and Amanda Hunt of Covington GA, sisters Pat Faulkner and Ruby Darlene Harvey, brothers Johnny Jones, Danny Jones, Jerry Jones, Kenny Jones, Charles Jones and Randy Jones, grandchildren Haley, Kristen and Kayla Hunt, Tim Jr., Dylan, Brianna and Ethan Hunt, Tyler Hunt, great grandchidren Zayden and Maci Hunt. She is preceded in death by her mother and father Dorothy and Thomas Jones, her loving husband John Hunt Sr, and brothers Larry and Michael Jones.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM on November 27, 2011 at Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 27, 2011 from 1:00-3:00 PM.
