Richard Shelton Dudley, of Covington, died January 23, 2009, at Atlanta Medical Center, at the age of 56. Son of the late Grace Elizabeth Teasley Dudley, he was a retired welder and United States Navy veteran. Mr. Dudley enjoyed walking through the community everyday and was a very loving, kind and friendly person. Survivors include his father, Rev. Cecil Dudley of Covington; step-sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Gary Curtis of Covington; step brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Susan Clegg of McDonough; one uncle, three aunts, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Memorial service for Mr. Dudley will be held Sunday, January 25, 3:00 PM, at Alcovy United Methodist Church with Rev. Teresa Lilja officiating.
