Ralph Everett McCrary passed away on March 10 from complications of a broken hip and lung disease He died at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, Pa.
Born in Holland, Mo., he served in the Air Force and Army Air Force as an airplane mechanic supervisor in his early 20s. He married Pauline in 1951 on the Fourth of July. They were together for 57 wonderful years. He continued working as an airplane mechanic for Lockheed in Marietta, where he and his wife raised two children. He then moved to Mansfield, where he worked for Air Products until retirement.
Ralph enjoyed working in his garden, boating, fishing, bowling, playing cards and watching the Braves on TV. He was the devoted husband of the late Pauline McCrary, loving father to Steve McCrary and the late Jackie McCrary, father-in-law to Steve's wife, Carole, caring grandfather to Joshua, Nicholas and Daniel.
The family invites you to a memorial service, held at Oxford Baptist Church, 305 Emory St. in Oxford at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial is at noon at Longwood Memorial Cemetery.
