Patricia Ann Lantis Hughes, of Covington, passed away July 6, 2015, at the age of 77. Mrs. Hughes delivered newspapers for The Journal for nearly 20 years. She liked antiques and enjoyed watching Turner Classic Movies. Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her daughters, Pamela Smith, Leanne Rhine; parents, Dale and Hazel Lantis; and brother, Dale Lantis.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Alan Hughes; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Tim Smith, Marilyn and Thomas Stanley; grandchildren, David Hardy, Travis Smith, Brian Smith, Shanley Banaag, S.J. Ignacio, Adam Rhine, Lindsey Rhine; great-grandchildren, Hayley Smith, Hope Smith, Tristen Smith; sisters, Joyce Laflamme, Barbara Arney; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Hughes will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015, 2 p.m., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with her grandson, Larry Travis Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, July 10, from 6-8 p.m.
