Mr. Oscsar Mell Lunsford of North Augusta died April 8. Mr. Lunsford was a native of Covington, a former resident of Orlando, Fla., having made North Augusta his home for the past 14 years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Cokesbury Sunday School Class, a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a retired Engineer with Lockheed Martin.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years June Patterson Lunsford; daughters, Crystal Joy Lunsford, North Augusta, Valerie Butler, Altamonte Springs, Fla., Katie Lunsford and Kay Lunsford both of New York City, NY, Margaret Lunsford, Richmond, Va., Lucy Lunsford, Sanford, Fla. and Diane Cermak, Lancaster, Calif; step-sons Reginald Byrnes, Martinez, Clifford Neil Byrnes, Summerville, S.C., and Christopher Byrnes, Bradenton, Fla.; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mr. Oscar Mell Lunsford, 77, Monday, April 13 at noon in Grace United Methodist Church with Dr. James C. Adams and Dr. T. Joseph Lusk officiating. Private Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Park with Veterans Honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday morning from 10 until 11.
