Mrs. Nora Mae Ratterree, age 85, of Currie, North Carolina formerly of Newborn, GA passed away on September 29, 2013.  She was born December 14, 1927 to the late J. William and Ora Bell Smith Kelley in Franklin County Georgia.  Mrs. Ratterree was a talented person who could take most anything and make beautiful art with it.  She enjoyed Thomas Kinkade art work and would turn his art into beautiful needlepoint.  Mrs. Ratterree also enjoyed gardening and traveling.  She attended Northside Baptist Church in Wilmington and was a member of and taught Sunday school at Shiloh Baptist Church in Newborn, Georgia while living there. 

Mrs. Ratterree is survived by her husband Mr. Fred W. Ratterree of Currie, NC her sons and daughter-in-law; Richard Ratterree of Cape Coral, Florida and Wayne and Linda Ratterree of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Dewain Brown of Newborn, Georgia along with 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ratterree will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Hauntsman officiating, interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Scott Caudill officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 4, 2013.   J.C.
