Ms. Jeanette Allison, 77, of Covington passed away July 28, 2012 at her residence.  She was born August 15, 1934 in Union Point, Georgia to the late Gordon and Elizabeth Brooks Allison.  Ms. Allison enjoyed gardening, reading, loved music and antiquing.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Covington and worked for many years as an accountant, employed at Georgia State University.  Ms. Allison was preceded in death by her sister Betty Dunn.

Ms. Allison is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Joyce and Dan Barnhill of Snellville and Debbie and Jeff Bennett of Conyers, her sister, Pat Harrison of Dallas, Texas, her grandchildren; Christopher and Jennifer Barnhill, Jonathan Barnhill and Patrick Bennett along with her great grandchildren Jacob, Dylan and Noah.

Funeral services for Ms. Allison will be held at 11 O’clock Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home with Reverend Al Myers officiating.  Interment will be held at 2 O’clock at Union Point City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6pm until 8pm on Tuesday, July 31, 2012.  J.C.
