Mrs. Mary Harcrow Allen Hamlin, age 89, of Monroe passed away July 29, 2015.  She was born September 2, 1925 in the Rocky Plains community of Newton County.  Mrs. Hamlin worked for the Federal Government with the Department of Agriculture.  She was Baptist by faith and a member of County Line Baptist Church and also attended the First Baptist Church of Covington with her husband Mr. James Melvin Allen, Jr. After Mr. Allen’s death she married Mr. Ray Hamlin until his passing some years later.  A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend; she loved country and gospel music, she loved her family and spending time with them as often as she could.  She was preceded in death by her first husband James Melvin Allen, Jr, her son James Randall Allen and her second husband Ray Hamlin.  Mrs. Hamlin is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Sandra and Ron Elliott of Mansfield, her grandchildren; Jennifer Januzelli, Jay Elliott, Daniel Allen and David Allen, and her great grandchildren; Carter Januzelli, Elliott Januzelli, Amylia Januzelli and Lydia Allen along with other family and many friends.  Funeral services for Mrs. Hamlin will be held at 3 o’clock Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Covington with Reverend Clifton Brown officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 2pm until 3pm, Sunday prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2208 Main St E, Snellville, GA 30078.  Donations should be designated to Calvin Cove Ministry or the Honduras Mission Team.  J.C.
