Mrs. Marchiena Bettie (Boyce) Dingler, 76, of Covington died Jan. 4. She was born in Fulton County on Oct. 29, 1932 to the late Harvey David Boyce and Agnes Viola (Grant) Boyce. She moved to Newton County in 1975.
Mrs. Dingler was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Eugene Dingler; brothers, Forrest Carl "Ikie" Boyce, Edward Perry Boyce and her grandson, Travis Brown.

She is survived by daughter, Pamela Dingler Brown of Opelike, Ala.; son and daughter-in-law, David Keith and Barbara Dingler of Covington; sons, Harvey James Dingler, Dennis Eugene Dingler and Anthony Perry Dingler, all of Covington; grandchildren, Michael Brown, David Dingler, Melissa Dingler, Katie Dingler, Bryan Dingler, Taylor Rank; sister, Frances Juanita "Tiny" Boyce of Butts County; brother and sister-in-law, Leroy Franklin and Lola Boyce of Forest Park; sister in law, Lenora Boyce of Jasper County, several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6. The funeral service for Mrs. Dingler will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7 in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with the Rev.
