Mrs. Lee Shirley, 91, of Covington, passed away December 5, 2016. She was born June 18, 1925, to the late Luther and Mae Carney. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Shirley was a homemaker and loved having company; she also loved telling people what to do and depending on how well you did a particular job is how she ranked you when delegating duties. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Lamar Shirley and is survived by her children Sandra McClure of Covington, Kenny Seabolt and Brenda of Rutledge and Gaye Durand and Randy of Covington. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren along with a host of other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Shirley will be held at p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at The Potter’s House Church, 1120 Crowell Road North, Covington, GA 30016, with Dr. Jerry A. Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at The Potter’s House Church from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. J.C.
