Mrs. Donna Dodd Ayer, 74, of Cartersville passed away on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born on Nov. 3, 1939, in Porterdale, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Watson Dodd and the late Lillie Mae Holder Dodd. Donna was employed as the property manager for Cushman Wakefield until her retirement. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church, where she was a part of the United Methodist Women’s Lunch Bunch and a volunteer at the church thrift shop.

Survivors include her husband, David Ayer; her daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannie and Mark Lanzillo and Denise and Marcus Turner; her son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Stacy Patterson; her step-daughter and spouse, Pam and Eddie Watters; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Hutto, Jennifer Gilbert, Alex Patterson and Chelsea and Jonathan Watters; her great-grandchildren, Anna Lillie Hutto, Daniel Gilbert and Emmett Patterson; her brother, Richard Dodd; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Gordon Yarbrorgh and Mike and Sheri Boynton.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 19 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Kirk Bozeman officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date at the Lovejoy United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
